Unauthorized transmissions and incidents harmful interference should, if
possible, be identified, recorded in the radio log and brought to the
attention of the Administration in compliance with the Radio Regulations,
together with an appropriate extract from the radio log (STCW Code
BVIII/2 No. 32).
Testing of radio equipment and reserve source of energy should occur:
Monthly: Handheld VHF transceivers are to be tested using a test or rechargeable battery.

Hazards identification
The lithium polymer batteries used in the JHS-207 and described herein are sealed units.
Under normal conditions, the battery is hermetically sealed. These batteries are not
hazardous when used as intended and recommended.
WARNING
Do not short circuit, puncture, incinerate, crush, immerse, force
discharge or expose to temperatures above the declared operating
temperature range of the product, otherwise you risk fire or explosion.
