Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of injury or damage, read these safety
instructions carefully and keep them at hand when setting
up, using, and maintaining this device.
Never twist or wiggle the heat-not-burn tobacco
stick, as it may damage the heater blade.
• Do not use your device with the cap removed, as it may
result in personal injury.
• Do not attempt to repair, open, or replace any component
of this device, as it may result in personal injury.
• Do not immerse any part of the device or components
(except the cap and the cleaning tool) into water. Solvents
or any other liquids other than jouz’s cleaning tools must
never be used for cleaning.
• Do not operate this device in the presence of flammable
materials, liquids and gases, or in areas where oxygen is
being administered.
• Do not operate this device if it has been damaged,
modified, dismantled or immersed in liquid. This may
result in personal injury.
• Do not insert anything other than heat-not-burn tobacco
sticks into this device. When jouz is turned off and cool,
use the cleaning hook to remove residual tobacco stuck
from the heating chamber.
• Do not remove the heat-not-burn tobacco stick during
use.
• Do not drop this device or subject it to strong shock.
• When you carry around this device, ensure that no dust, lint
or debris enter the device. It may result in personal injury.
• Keep this device and its components out of reach of children.
• Only charge this device indoors.
• Only charge this device under 5V power supply.
• Heating does not stop if you remove the heat-not-burn
tobacco stick during use. In this case, manually switch
jouz off.

• jouz operates via a rechargeable battery, and thus
requires charging to operate.
• This device is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with this device.
• If you charge/discharge or keep this device in hot
temperatures, it will accelerate the deterioration of the
battery. Do not leave this device in the car or near heaters.
• If this device is left unused for a long time, battery voltage
will reduce naturally. Make sure to charge the battery
before use.
• If you do not plan to use this device for a long time, avoid
storing this device in fully-charged status or under high
temperature/humidity condition to avoid accelerating the
deterioration of the battery.
• This device must not be sold to minors.
• This device contains lithium ion battery. Follow the
requirement of your local government for proper disposal
of the battery.
• The battery must be removed from this device before it
is scrapped. Consult a professional electrician for battery
removal.
• This device must be disconnected from the supply mains
when removing the battery.
This symbol means the product must not be discarded
as household waste, and should be delivered to an
appropriate collection facility for recycling.
