4.0 Installation
4.1 Fitting of the air valve handle for
combustion (Fig. 2, Fig. 3, Fig. 4)
Before the start of decorative frame fitting there should
be checked, whether the extended air valve handle for
combustion is fitted
(Fig. 2 B or C)
. If you need to exchange
the standard air valve handle
(Fig. 2 A)
into the extended
one, unscrew the two M6x25 screws which secure channel
flow of external air
(Fig. 3 A)
and pull out the valve latch.
The air valve handle is fitted to the latch by M6x8 screw
(Fig. 4 A)
, which you have to firmly tighten after exchange
the air valve handle. After re-fitting the channel check if
latch moves smoothly.
4.2 Assemble of the fitting plate and
angle bar fitting (Fig. 5, Fig. 6)
Assemble of the fitting plate and angle bar fitting start
from removal burn plates from the burn chamber
in accordance with the
“Manual for fitting and use of
Jøtul I

FL” point 4.6

Remove the screws M8x16
(Fig. 5 A)
and remove the
original angel bar fitting
(Fig. 6 A)
.
Secure the fitting plate by M8x16 screws
(Fig. 6 B)
and
fitting bars
(Fig. 6 A and C)
(the fitting plate “B” and the
angel bar fitting “C” are delivered with the frame).
Note! Do not tighten the screws until you balance the
frame.
4.3 Fitting the frame (Fig. 7, Fig. 8,
Fig. 9)
Note! The other person help is needed in order to avoid
damage to the frame surface or insert.
Slide decorative frame to the insert door opened in such
a way in order that the cut in the lower left corner of the
frame move above the protruding lower angle of the door
(Fig. 7 A)
. Move the frame to the right putting the handle
of the damper into the cut in the lower right corner of the
frame
(Fig. 8 A)
. Note the correct position of the air valve
handle in the upper part of the insert.
Using hexagon socket head cap screws M8 which there are
in the package, fasten the decorative frame to the fitting
plate, starting from upper screws
(Fig. 9 A)
and then lower
screws
(Fig. 9 B)
.
After balancing the frame tighten the screws of the fitting
bars
(Fig. 5 A)
and fasten internal side and rear burn plates,
ash retainer and baffle plate.
4.4 Making the insert surrounding
Before making the insert surrounding unscrew the hexagon
socket head cap screws M8
(Fig. 9 A and B)
, remove the
decorative frame and protect it against damage. Re-
fitting of the frame should be done when the fireplace
surrounding is completed. Then proceed in accordance with
paragraph 4.3
of this manual.
Note! INOX decorative frame is protected by the foil
protective tape, which should be removed only after
completion of all construction and finishing work around
the fireplace.
5.0
Conservation
5.1 Powder-painted version
Soil on the powder-painted surface remove by a liquid to
cleaning the windows using dust-free cloth. Dusty soil remove
by the plastic brush.
5.2 Wersja INOX
Soil on the surface made of INOX stainless steel frame
remove by dust-free cloth and water with dish soap or by
using specialized cleaning preparations for this type
of steel.
6.0 Warranty
Jøtul Polska Sp. z o. o. gives 2 year warranty for decorative
frames to Jøtul I
600
FL inserts.
Such warranties are not subject to any mechanical damage
resulting improper handling, cleaning and conservation of
the insert.
