EOL = > End of Life
As soon as a voltage drop indicates the impending end of the battery’s lifetime,
the seconds hand will start jumping forward in conspicuous four-seconds
steps, alerting the owner to the necessary battery change approximately four
to seven days in advance. During that period, the watch will continue to display
the time of day correctly. The end-of-life system protects the owner against
unexpected watch failure and helps prevent movement
damage caused by the spent battery.
