Failure Modes
The electric flap system is designed with three modes of operation
to provide limited redundancy. Failure of one or more critical
systems will result in the loss of flap functionality. In this case, the
flaps will remain in the last selected position.
NOTE
:
Aileron control will not be affected with a failure of
the electrical flap system.
The following likely failures may occur:
Low Battery Voltage
5.3.1
Power can be lost due to loss of battery power. Battery voltage
can be observed on the flight computer display when selecting the
same battery for flaps and avionics.
The problem is solved by selecting a different power source for the
flap system.
Tripped Circuit Breaker
5.3.2
In case of a current overload, the flap circuit breaker on the
instrument panel may trip.
The problem can be solved by resetting the flap circuit breaker.
