Contact Inputs
Three contact inputs (CIs) are on a 6-position
connector next to the 2-position external battery
connector. CIs typically monitor normally closed (N.C.)
alarm contacts, if available on a UPS and/or the door
tamper switch of a nearby enclosure. These CIs are
unsupervised—no end-of-line resistors are required.
Figure 11 shows example wiring to all three CIs of the
controller.
External 12 V Backup Battery
A 2-position connector provides support for an external
12 V SLA type rechargeable battery. For more details,
