Biomaterial Implants
To facilitate fusion, bone graft is often applied in the
lateral gutters. A suitable bone graft substitute (e.g.
chronOS, DBX) may be used by itself or in combination
with autograft.
The construct shown is complemented with chronOS
Strip precast, which optimally integrates with patient
anatomy and implanted hardware. Perfusion of Strip
with bone marrow aspirate provides a favorable environ-
ment for bony ingrowth.
