In the case of AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) the battery not require any maintenan ‐
ce.
In
the case of lead acid battery maintenance is reduced and in most cases not ne ‐
cessary. However, if the electrolyte, with the machine on a level surface, is below
the minimum allowed level (MIN.), it is possible to top up by removing the sea ‐
ling caps and adding distilled water without exceeding the maximum level
(MAX.).
When the battery cannot accumulate electric energy any longer, replace it with a
new one having the same characteristics. See the specifications table on the bat ‐
tery. Follow the steps below to replace:
• With the machine off and engine key in the OFF position disconnect the bat ‐
tery switch;
• Disconnect the battery terminals, always starting from the negative pole ( ‐ ).
• Remove the battery and install the new one;
• Reconnect the cables, always starting from the positive pole (+).
Before working on the battery, ALWAYS disconnect the battery cut ‐ out swi ‐
tch.
If the machine is going to remain unused for more than one month, it is ad ‐
visable to insulate the battery.
The batteries must be disposed of in compliance with the specific regulations
in force.
