Prior to first use
• Unpack the appliance and remove the packaging material.
• Place the appliance on a firm surface.
• Connect the stripped ends of the speaker wires (42, 46) to the sockets SP 4 Ω (44). Mind the correct polarity. Connect the black wire to the
black socket (–) and the red wire to the red socket (+). Incorrect polarity might damage the appliance.
• Unroll the wire antenna (45) attached to the appliance.
• Connect the power plug (47) to a power outlet. The STanD bY LED (41) lights up.
remote control – Inserting batteries
• Open the battery compartment (72) on the back of the remote control.
• Insert 2 “AA batteries”.
• Ensure correct polarity of the batteries.
Note: Ensure that no items are located between the infrared LED (63) of the remote control and the rEMOTE SEnSOr (4) of the appliance. The
functionality of the remote control might be influenced by other infrared appliances.
basic functions
The following functions are done through the remote control, unless mentioned otherwise.
Switch on and off
• Press (77) to switch the appliance on or off. The 3-CD-Changer will check all disc trays for inserted discs.

• Press vOl + (68) to increase volume.
note: Hold the button for a few seconds to adjust the volume rapidly.

• The display (6) shows the selected mode on the right.
note: Each time the stereo is powered-off the selected equalizer mode will be reset to flaT.
MUTE (Switch off volume)
• Press MUTE (67) to turn off the volume.
• Press MUTE (67), vOl + (68) or vOl – (75) to turn on the volume again.
Connect headphones
• Connect headphones (3.5 mm jack plug) to the PHOnE (15) socket on the front of the appliance. The speakers will be muted.
attention: Listening with headphones for an extended period of time and/or with high volume can damage your hearing.
Connect a microphone
There are two microphone sockets available
• Connect the microphone (6.3 mm jack plug) to the sockets MIC1 (37) or MIC2 (35) at the front of the appliance.
• Turn MIC vOlUME (39) in direction of – to decrease the volume.
• Turn MIC vOlUME (39) in direction of + to increase the volume.
Disc functions
• Switch fUnCTIOn (5) to CD/MP3. The display (6) will show
(55).
• Press OPEn/ClOSE (12) to open the 3-disc tray (7). You can open the 3-disc tray (7) during playback of one disc to change the discs of the
other two trays.
