The amount of information carried in a signal. The bandwidth can be adjusted to improve the

CensorShip
You can adjust the level of censorship of the appliance in order to restrict the access for small
children. Censorship is available in Blocked, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18.

Dolby Digital
A perceptual coding system for audio developed by Dolby Laboratories and accepted as an
international standard.
Downmix
To convert a multi channel audio track into a two-channel stereo track by combining the channels
with the Dolby Surround process.
Dual mono
A dual mono passes monaural sound into the front left and right speaker whereas ordinary mono is
passed into the centre speaker.
Dvb-T
Digital Video Broadcast Terrestrial. A European standard for broadcast digital cable, and satellite
video transmission.
DvD
Digital Versatile Disc. A disc that contains audio and video content in a high quality.
Dynamic level
The difference between the loudest and softest sound in an audio signal. If the playback is too
loud or to quiet, you can use this function to dampen loud sections in the playback and play quiet
sections a little louder.
