Description
The Initio 2
𝐶𝑂
2
meter is a device to mesure the
𝐶𝑂
2
rate in the air using an infrared probe. It
can also be used to record data and then restore it later on a computer.
A WI-FI module (ref 451 470) is also available for viewing and recording measurements on a
tablet or a PC equipped with WI-FI.
Equipped with an analogue output, the Initio2
𝐶𝑂
2
meter can be used with a datalogging
interface equipped with direct inputs (via banana sockets) or with a Groomy interface (via
jack sockets).
2.
Use
Upon first use, it is recommanded fully to charge the Initio2 battery. Use the
𝜇
USB (7)
supplied in separate packaging to charge the battery. In general, we recommend using the
device in full charge-discharge cycles (wait until it is completely discharged before fully
recharging)
2.1 Warnings

Do not immerse the probe in liquid or it may be damaged permanently

For a more precise reading, turn on the probe 5 minutes before use.
2.2 Start-up

Connect the probe (provided in separate packaging) to the Initio2 box via the DIN
port.

Press the start button (1) situated on the left side of the device.
After a warm-up period of less than 1 minute, the measurement is displayed directly on the
device’s screen.
