3.8 Measuring the capacitance
1. Place the Function/Range selector switch on the desired range of values F
(capacitance).
2. Never apply an external voltage on the Cx socket, at the risk of damaging
the device.
3. Plug in the wires of the capacitor directly into the Cx socket.
4. Read the capacitance directly on the display.
3.9 Logical measurements
1. Place the Function/Range selector switch on LOGIC.
2. Connect the red test cord to the “V
”
socket and the black test cord to the
“COM” socket.
3. Connect the red test cord at the test point and the black test cord at the
ground bus of the logic circuit.
4. A "
▲
" symbol on the display indicates a high TTL logic level and a "
▼
"
indicates a low TTL logic level. These two symbols are displayed when the
measurement point varies between high and low.
3.10 Temperature measurements
Warning: remove the test cords during temperature measurements.
1. Place the Function/Range selector switch on the “°C
”
position.
2. Connect a K type thermocouple to the K type connector of the device.
Place the tip of the thermocouple on or in the material and record the
temperature on the display.
4 Maintenance
CAUTION
Remove the test cords before replacing the battery or the fuse or before
carrying out any other intervention.
