2 has three navigation buttons:
Selection-confirmation (3):
The central knurled knob (3) is to scroll through the menus of the Initio
®
2. Briefly pressing
the OK button in the center of the knurled knob confirms the selection.
Back (2):
The "Back" button (2) is used to switch from one type of display to another from the main
screen in the following order:

Measurement
-
Table
-
Curve
Within a menu it is used to go back a step.

2.3 Type of measurement
The Initio
®
2 Ventilation takes 3 types of measurements:

The volume of air
-
The air flow rate
-
The respiratory rate
-
Measurement choice
Using the knurled knob, select the measurement name in the top left.
Press the knob to change the type of measurement:
V -> Volume
F -> Flow rate
RR -> Respiratory rate

Choice of caliber
For the volume and flow rate, two sizes are available:
Volume 10L
100L
Flow rate 5 L/s
10 L/s
To change the size, using the knurled knob, select the calibre located to the right of the size
name.
Press the knob to change the calibre size:
2.4 Taking measurements
To take an accurate measurement, place the probe near the mouth (about 10 cm away), with
the cable outwards and press the transparent button with your thumb. Wait until the flashing
stops to begin the measurement.
This operation allows resetting the measurement (for the volume) and to calibrate the probe.
2.5 Data acquisition

2 has an internal memory that enables it to save measurements. Two modes are
