ASSEMBLY/STARTING UP
First, check whether all parts have been supplied. Refer to the overview in the left
fold-out page of this brochure.
1.
Fit the legs to the corner attachments on the lower frame and place bed on
the legs
(see illus. 1).
2.
Attach the sidebar using two screws at a distance of approximately 80 cm
from the head end. Screw into the inside of the lower frame
(see illus. 2).
If
you are combining two lower frames into a double bed, do not install sidebars
between the beds.
3.
Insert the 9-volt batteries provided into the motor
(see illus. 3).
and place the
bed on the legs.
4.
Connect the power cable to the motor.
5.
Place the Dream base inside the frame
(see illus. 4).
Look at the symbol on
the motor to find the foot/head end.
6.
Hook the footboard onto the frame and then lift it into vertical position
(see
illus. 5a and 5b).
Fasten with screws.
7.
Lay the mattress and mattress topper on the bed. Pull the cover over the
sidebar
(illus. 6).
8.
Insert the plug to a socket.
9.
Refer to the relevant section for information on how to set the remote control
for one bed or for simultaneous operation of two beds.
FIRMNESS LEVEL
The firmness level of the middle part of the mattress can be adjusted. Moving the
plastic rings (on the frame under the mattress) that surround the double slats in
towards the middle of the frame will make the base softer. Moving them towards
the outside of the frame will make the base firmer.
SETTING THE REMOTE CONTROL FOR ONE BED OR FOR
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION OF TWO BEDS
(Check that the bed is connected to power)
1.
Press and hold both “under-bed light” buttons at the same time until a
flashing red light appears. The remote is now in settings mode.
2.
Point the remote control at the motor of the bed you want to operate, and
press one of the buttons that raise the bed (4, 6 or 8) until the bed moves. If
you want to operate two beds simultaneously with one remote control, repeat
this process for the second bed. Both beds must be in a horizontal position
before you start setting the configuration.
3.
To exit settings mode, quickly press the “under-bed light” buttons and the red
light will turn off. You can now operate the bed(s).
4.
To revert to operating just one bed, repeat the above steps.
ELECTRICAL DATA
Power supply: 230 V AC 50/60 Hz.
Standby power: Max 0.5 W.
MEMORY
1.
Put the bed into the position you want to store in the memory.
2.
Press and hold the round button until you feel the bed move slightly up and
down. Your favourite position has now been stored in the memory.
3.
Quickly pressing the round button once will move the bed back to the
horizontal position.
4.
Quickly pressing the round button a second time will move the bed into your
stored position.
UNDER-BED LIGHT FEATURE

level. Press and hold the “under-bed light” button to increase the brightness of the
light to the desired level. Press the “under-bed light” button to switch off the light.
LOW BATTERY LEVEL IN REMOTE CONTROL
When the white backlight on the buttons disappears, this means the battery level
is low. Open the battery compartment, turn the remote control upside down and
push the lever to one side whilst pulling out the compartment. Replace the 3-volt
CR2450 battery and push the compartment back into place.
MALFUNCTIONS
If you are unable to adjust the bed, proceed as follows:
• Ensure the plug has been properly inserted into the mains socket and it is
connected to the power supply. Check that the green light indicating power is lit.
• Check that there are batteries in the remote control. Replace the batteries if
they have run out.
• Check that the motor works with the app.
• If you have two beds, check whether the remote control works with the other bed.
• Try taking the plug out of the socket and waiting for 20 minutes before
repeating the procedure.
• Do not open the motor, electrical components or remote control yourself. The
manufacturer accepts no liability if an unauthorised person has opened the
motor or tampered with the electrical components or remote control. New
parts must be sourced from an authorised supplier.
• Reset the remote control; see step 9 under Assembly/starting up.
NOISE
A mechanical and electrically adjustable bed is not silent. The noise that the bed
makes may be amplified by the acoustics of the room it is kept in.
BATTERY BACKUP
In the event of power failure, check to see that the 9-volt batteries are installed
in the motor. Using the remote control, the bed can be lowered into a horizontal
position. Press and hold the “lower head end” button for 5–10 seconds. The
head end will be lowered into a horizontal position. Repeat by holding down the
“lower foot end” button. Replace the batteries in the motor once a year, or after
this emergency lowering function has been used.
USAGE
The bed’s lifting motors are not intended for continual operation. Reliable
functionality and normal product life can only be achieved by not operating the
motors for more than 2 minutes in any 18-minute period.
If this limit is exceeded, the life of the product will be reduced and the guarantee
will be void.
The bed is constructed so it can bear a maximum weight of 150 kg, distributed
evenly across the entire surface of the bed from the head end to the foot end.
Exceeding these limits may damage the product and void your guarantee. It is
important that no one sits on the head or foot end of the bed when the bed is in
a raised position.
WARNING
This bed contains moving parts that can trap or injure if not used
properly. The remote control must be kept out of the reach of children!
