Operating instructions
Start of the machine = for tractor pivot shafts at 540 rpm clockwise rotation.
Start machine at disengaged feeding and at slow pivot rotation.
Disengage feeding: Push disengaging lever in direction knives-disc (position
„AUS“)
Engage feeding: Pull disengaging lever in opposite direction (position „EIN“)
Recommended instructions during operation
Branch wood to be fed always with heavier end towards retraction rollers.
Should rotation of knives - disc drop during operation, push the disengaging lever,
wait until disc reaches full operating rotation again, then activate feeding again.
Check all screws and nuts for tightening.
V- belts
Check suspense regularly and re-tighten, if necessary.
Knives and counter – knife
In order to achieve an easy cut, always keep a sharp edge. The blades edges should
always have an inner distance of 0,5mm towards the edge of the anvil. The outer
distance between blades and anvil is a little bit wider.
Check knives regularly.
Knives, which due to resharpening get too narrow apart from the anvil have to be
compensated by shims.
Caution: Even flywheels moved by hand, when replacing knives f.i., have enough
force, due to their weight, to cause squeeze injuries.
Please take care of the following information to sharpen the blades.
