Never charge a non-rechargeable battery! Do not short-circuit the battery. Do
not store batteries in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be
short-circuited by other metal objects. Do not remove the battery from its original
packaging until required for use. Do not subject the battery to mecha-nical shock.
Prevent battery acid from coming into contact with skin and eyes. If you do get
battery acid in your eyes or mouth, flush them thoroughly with lots of water and seek
medical advice immediately. If battery acid comes into contact with your skin, wash
the affected area with lots of water and soap. Observe the polarity (+ and -) marked
on the battery and appliance. Keep the battery out of reach of children at all times.
Seek medical advice immediately if batteries have been swallowed. Only use
batteries recommended by the manufacturer for the appliance. Observe the technical
data. Keep the battery clean and dry. Clean the contacts on the battery and the
appliance prior to inserting. Only use the battery in the application for which it is
intended. Remove the battery from the appliance when not in use, if possible.
Remove the exhausted battery promptly from the appliance. Dispose of the battery
properly and safely. The battery must be removed from the appliance by a skilled
person before it is scrapped. The battery is to be disposed of safely. Never try to
remove the battery yourself! The appliance must be disconnected from the supply
mains (e. g. switching off) when removing the battery. This appliance contains a
battery that is only replaceable by skilled persons.
Charging adapter
Read the instruction manual before using the charging adapter. This charging
adapter can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the charging
adapter in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the charging adapter. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision. The supply cord cannot be replaced. If
the cord is damaged, the charging adapter should be scrapped. Disconnect the
charging adapter from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning,
maintenance, storage and transportation. WARNING! For the purposes of
recharging the battery, only use the detachable charging adapter provided with this
appliance. Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating label corresponds with
the voltage of the power supply. Do not attempt to charge the appliance with any
other charging device than the one supplied. The appliance and charging adapter are
specifically designed to work together. Do not touch the charging adapter with wet
hands. Protect the charging adapter against damages. Do not let the power cord
of the charging adapter hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it, and keep
it away from hot surfaces. Lay out the power cord of the charging adapter in such a
