This section provides disassembly and reassembly
instruction for the VEGA Banknote Validator.
This section contains the following information:

Feed and Stacker Motor Removal

Sub-Sensor Circuit Board Removal

Tool Requirements
The following tools will be required to perform
disassembly and reassembly.
•
#1 Phillips Screwdriver
•
Flat Blade Screwdriver
•
E-Ring Holder
•
Tweezer
CPU Circuit Board Removal
To remove the VEGA Unit’s CPU Board, proceed
as follows:
1. Remove the VEGA Cash Box (Figure 4-1
a
)
from the Frame (Figure 4-1

).
2. Remove the Course Path Reversing Guide Cover

) from the Upper Transport Unit

).
3. Remove the four (4) Frame Mounting Screw
from each side of the VEGA Unit’s Frame (Fig-
ure 4-2

4. Separate the VEGA Unit (Figure 4-2

) from the
Lower Frame Section by lifting up and off the
Cash Box Frame (Figure 4-2
c
).
5. Open and hold the Upper Transport Unit (Figure

).
6. Use a Flat Blade Screwdriver to release the two
(2) Claw Hooks (Figure 4-3
b

&

) of each
Harness Cover by pressing-in on them through
the slot opening located on each side of the
Upper Transport Unit, and lift and separate the
two (2) Covers from retaining the Connector in
place (Figure 4-3
c
).
7. Unplug the two (2) Signal Connectors from the
CPU Board on the opened Upper Transport Unit.
