Test the brakes.
y
Flush out the water heater tank.
After Every Tire Change
y
Tighten the wheel nuts to specified torque
values at 10, 25, and 50 miles (16, 40,
and 80 kilometers) to assure that they are
correctly “seated” after the tire change.
Refer to instructions supplied in the
Chassis Guide.
Daily
y
Recharge the battery(s) after each use.
y
Ensure propane alarm operation light is
green in color.
Weekly
y
Check the propane lines for leaks.
y
Test propane, smoke and carbon
monoxide alarms.
y
Check tire pressure and wear (make sure
tires are cold when checking the tire
pressure).
Monthly
y
Check the fire extinguisher pressure.
Refer to the fire extinguisher label for
specific instructions.
y
Test the ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI).
Every Three Months or 3,000 Miles
y
Compare the water heater pilot flame with
ideal flame (refer to the OEM operator’s
manual information ideal flame
information). Have the appliance cleaned
and adjusted as necessary by a qualified
technician.
y
Compare the refrigerator pilot flame with
ideal flame (refer to the OEM operator’s
manual ideal flame information). Have the
appliance cleaned and adjusted as
necessary by a qualified technician (RV
type refrigerator only).
y
Inspect the refrigerator door seals.
y
Check the propane lines for leaks.
y
Inspect the propane tank for rust, pits,
gouges, scrapes or sharp dents. Repaint if
rust is present.
y
Drain and sanitize fresh water system.
y
Check, clean, tighten and lubricate the
battery cables.
y
Check the wheel nuts at specified
intervals to listed torque values, re-torque
as needed (refer to the Chassis Guide).
y
Examine the tires for unusual wear,
sidewall defects from possible cuts,
bulging and abrasions.
y
Have the brakes adjusted by a qualified
service technician.
Every Six Months or 6,000 Miles
y
Clean the drains with approved drain
cleaners.
y
Check the pipe connections for tightness,
tighten if necessary.
y
Lubricate all moving parts on the entrance
steps.
y
Lubricate entrance and baggage door
locks.
y
Inspect wheels for cracks, dents or
distortion.
y
Inspect and reseal your motorhome.
y
Have the suspension system serviced by
a qualified service technician.
y
Lubricate the elevating gear on the
television antenna.
y
Lubricate the bearing surface between the
rotating gear housing and the base plate
on the television antenna.
y
Lubricate the rubber quad ring on the
elevating shaft located on the television
antenna.
y
Perform routine preventative maintenance
on the entire motorhome and all
component parts.
Every Year or 12,000 Miles
y
Lubricate moving parts on the awning
hardware (awning option only).
y
Manually operate the pressure-
temperature control lever on the water
heater.
y
Clean the city water entry strainer.
y
Check the demand tank vent for
obstructions.
y
Check the water pump connections and
mountings for tightness.
y
Rotate the fluorescent tubes in the light
fixtures (if so equipped).
y
Replace the battery on the carbon
monoxide alarm.
y
Have the propane system inspected and
serviced by a qualified technician.
y
Have the refrigerator inspected and
serviced by a qualified technician.
y
Have the brakes inspected and serviced
by a qualified technician.
