Turn off power at main isolating switch and using a Shielded Oil Stone (see

Fig 3.3.1

)

hold the stone flat against knife ege and slowly rotate the knife with the other gloved
hand. This will have the effect of dulling the sharp edge. Polish knife edge with Scotch
Bright
