Important
Safety information
This installer manual includes installation and
maintenance procedures that must be per-
formed by a professional.
This device may be operated by children at
least 8 years of age, persons with diminished
physical, sensory or mental capacity or those
without experience and knowledge, provided
that they are supervised or have been in-
structed on how to operate the device safely
and understand the risks involved with its op-
eration. Children must not play with the de-
vice. Children must never clean or perform
maintenance on the device without proper su-
pervision.
If the device water supply is shut off during pe-
riods of absence or automatically, such as by
the property utility automation, the device
power supply must also be shut off.
The device must be installed in accordance
with the Jäspi safety instructions.
Transport
The VLK can be transported in its packaging in
any position.
Installation
The device is primarily mounted to the wall.
However, it can also be installed on the floor
or a surface. In this case, the installation sur-
face must be able to withstand the weight of
the device when filled with water.
When installing the device, ensure that there
is a functioning floor drain in the space.
Water discharged from the safety device must
be directed downwardly into the floor drain
grate with no obstruction.
Markings
This product has a CE-marking and fulfils the
requirements for an IPX4 enclosure rating.
The CE marking means that Kaukora gives its
assurance that the device meets all require-
ments specified in applicable EU directives.
The CE marking is mandatory for most prod-
ucts being sold within the EU, regardless of
their place of manufacture.
Type plate
The device type plate is located on the bottom
of the device. When contacting the manufac-
turer, you will be asked to provide the serial
number.
Warranty
The product warranty is two years for the
pressure frame and pressurised parts. The
warranty shall be void if the Jäspi safety in-
structions checklist has not been properly
filled out.
Recycling
All device packaging materials are recyclable
and must be recycled properly.
When removing the device from use, agree
with a licensed installer to dispose of the de-
vice at a proper, authorised recycling facility.
