Installation of APU and APU fan
Please pay extra attention to the golden triangular mark on the APU should match with the
same corner as the white triangular mark of the socket during installation, as illustrated below:

FM1 APU
APU Installation Procedure as following:
1. Locate the FM1 socket on
the motherboard, then press
the lever sideways to unlock
the socket, and lift it up to a
90°-120° angle.
2. Carefully insert the APU into
the socket so that the golden
triangular mark matches with
the triangular mark on the
socket. Push the socket lever
down until it clicks on the side
tab to lock the APU in position.
3. Apply adequate amount of
thermal grease so that it forms
an EVEN and THIN layer on the
APU.
4. Attach one end of the fan
retention bracket to the base of
the retention module.
5. Attach the other end of the
fan retention bracket to the
other side of the base, you
should hear a "click" sound
when installed properly.
6. Lock the APU fan in position
by pushing the retention lock
in a clockwise direction. (For
details, please refer to the
cooler installation guide that
comes with your APU.)
7. Double-check to make sure
the fan-sink has been installed
properly. After that, connect
the fan power cable to the
connector on the motherboard
which labelled as "CFAN".
