The NitroGro applicator is equipped with a strainer designed to remove dirt and debris
from the fertilizer to prevent downstream clogs.
Strainer
The agitation valve is designed to allow air to escape from
the pump so it can easily prime. When you’re running in the
field, a little liquid runs through the agitation valve back to
the tank. You will need to adjust the amount of agitation.
The agitation valve can also be opened and used to evenly
mix additives by running the pump with the electronic
control valves closed.

Counterbalance Valve
The counterbalance valve keeps the outside
wings from creeping up. To tighten the
counterbalance valve, turn the allen-head on
the counter balance valve closest to the bottom
end of the hydraulic cylinder (as shown in the
picture to the right) counter-clockwise in 1/2
turn increments until the wings remain locked
in place during operation.
