Step 3: Install Electronic Components
Once the body and neck are prepared, the rest of the single-cut electric guitar's electronics can be wired. To make installation
as easy as possible, the most important components in the form of potentiometers (
10
and
11
) and connecting cables are
combined in a pre-wired cable harness.
Mount the potentiometers on the body by inserting the two volume potentiometers (
10
) into the front holes of the electrical
compartment and the respective tone potentiometer (
11
) into the holes behind them and fasten the potentiometer axles with
a washer (
10A
or
11A
) and the matching nut (
10B
or
11B
) respectively. Make sure that the volume potentiometer with red
cable is mounted on the middle contact in the upper hole and the volume potentiometer with yellow cable is mounted on the
contact in the lower hole (see fig.)!
Then fit the pickup selector switch (
12
) in the large hole on the front top half of the body. Remove any washers and nuts
from the switch axle to insert the switch axle from the rear through the hole provided and mount it in the following
order: poker chip (
12A
), washer (
12B
) and mounting nut (
12C
). The switch cap (
12D
) can then be screwed on.
