Determine where the finished wall location will be.

This measurement

is very important!

Note: The rough-in measurement from the finished

wall is; 2" minimum and 2-3/4" maximum. This is a 3/4"
tolerance. See rough-in illustration above.

Remove PLASTER GUARDS and unthread ROUGH-IN NIPPLE (3).

Thread counter-clockwise and remove VALVE CARTRIDGES (1) installed on rough valve body.
Replace with SHORT STEM CARTRIDGES (2) supplied with trim.

See Figure 1.

Inspect that SPOUT NIPPLE O-RINGS (4 & 5) are seated in the grooves of SPOUT NIPPLE (6).

See View A.

Thread SPOUT NIPPLE (6) into VALVE BODY (7) and tighten using a 3/8" hex wrench.

Thread SPOUT ADAPTER (8) onto SPOUT NIPPLE (6) so that the groove extends
7/16" beyond finished wall.

See Figure "2"

.

Install ESCUTCHEON O-RING (9) in back of SPOUT ESCUTCHEON (10). Push the
SPOUT ESCUTCHEON (10) onto SPOUT ADAPTER (8) flush against finished wall.

Push SPOUT (11) tight against SPOUT ESCUTCHEON (10). Align SPOUT (11)
and tighten SPOUT SET SCREW (12) with 2.5mm HEX
WRENCH (13) supplied.

INSTALL LEVER HANDLES

Place ESCUTCHEON O-RING (3) in groove of ESCUTCHEON (4).

Thread ESCUTCHEON (4) onto VALVE ESCUTCHEON SUPPORT (1) until
it seats tight against the finished wall.

Measure distance from end of VALVE STEM (2) to face of
ESCUTCHEON (4).

See

Figure 1.

 Distance should be

1-1/2"  1/16". If not, cut VALVE STEM (2) to proper
length (1-1/2"  +1/16") using a hacksaw.

Important: Do not damage spline. Make cut in
groove between spline rings.

Turn valves to off position and align KNOB HANDLE (8)
as shown or as desired. Install onto VALVE STEM (2)
and tighten SET SCREW (6) with (2.5 mm) HEX
WRENCH (7) supplied to secure handle.

Thread LEVER (5) into KNOB HANDLE (8) to
complete installation.

SET SCREWS (3) to secure VALVE BODY (1) to WALL BRACKET (2).

Connect HOT water supply to LEFT INLET UNION (4) and COLD water supply
to RIGHT INLET UNION (5). Pipe connections are 1/2" NPT. Use sealant or
Teflon tape on pipe connections.

Do not solder directly to valve body.

With valves closed open supply lines and check for leaks. Remove PLASTER
GUARDS (6) and open both valves and check for leaks.

HOT

COLD

Close both valves and turn off water supplies. Replace PLASTER GUARDS (6)
and finish wall construction.
