OPTIONAL
For Remote Mode applications requiring traditional RS-232 communications, an optional RS-232 interface can
be provided. This option adds an RJ-12 jack to the PR-655/670 system allowing the user to connect the PR-
655/670 to a PC’s RS
-232 port via the included RJ-12 to DB-9 adapter.

ATTERY
The PR-655/670 is powered by a high capacity rechargeable Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery pack. The battery
compartment of the instrument is located at the front of the instrument to the left of the objective lens. The
battery can be charged in the instrument (using the AC Adapter or USB power) or via the optional rapid charger
accessory.
Warning: Before using the battery for the first time, charge the battery for at least 12 hours. The
instrument can be used with the AC adapter while the battery is simultaneously charging.
Warning: Use only Li-Ion battery packs supplied by Photo Research Inc. to avoid possible damage
and voidance of the warranty.
