SHACKLE "M" CARBIDE FLAIL
BLADE MAINTENANCE _____________________
Inspect the blades for free movement prior to using this
mower.
When, you replace blades they must be replaced as
opposed pairs (B) to maintain balance.
When fitting blades, tighten the nut (C) first until finger tight
then torque to 9.9 Nm (7.3 ft.lb).
WARNING
Inspect and replace immediately any flails, lugs and retaining hardware that show any indication of
cracks, heavy damage or more than expected wear. Failure to replace damaged parts can cause parts to
be thrown out without warning. More than expected wear or damaged parts will unbalance the rotor and
cause lasting damage. When you operate with an unbalanced rotor it will cause accelerated wear,
increased vibration.
WARNING
Make sure the mower is parked on a solid and level surface
WARNING
When the cutting unit is lifted in the transport position to do maintenance procedures,
always engage the transport locks.
WARNING
When you replace flails, always fit new hardware (supplied with blade kit), because hardware
can be worn and damaged.
The use of worn hardware can cause unpredictable failure or thrown objects
