GAS ENGINE SPEED CONTROL OPTION ______________________________________
The gasoline engine speed control option has 3-modes of operation.
Normal Operation Mode:
Put the stationary/cruise switch in the center position for normal operation. The engine speed is controlled with the
accelerator pedal.
Cruise Control Mode:
Press the right side of the switch to the cruise control position to use the vehicle cruise control.
When the vehicle at the desired speed, press and hold the left side of the set/resume switch for 1/2 second. The light
on the right side of the stationary/cruise switch will illuminate and the vehicle will continue to drive at the current speed.
To cancel the cruise control, operate the parking brake, press the brake pedal, press the clutch pedal or move the
stationary/cruise switch to the center position.
When the cruise control is active, the vehicle speed is increased or decreased by 0.5 mph (0.8 kph) with the set/
resume switch. Press and release the left side of the switch to decrease the vehicle speed. Press and release the right
side of the switch to increase the vehicle speed.
If the cruise control was canceled by the parking brake, brake pedal or clutch pedal, press and hold the right side of the
switch for 1/2 second to resume the set cruise control speed.
Stationary Mode:
Press the left side of the switch to the stationary position to set the engine speed for use with hydraulic accessories.
The parking brake must be engaged and the transmission in Neutral for the stationary mode to operate. Do not drive
the vehicle with the switch in the stationary position.
Press the accelerator pedal until the needed RPM is shown on the tachometer. Hold the left side of the set/resume
switch for 1/2 second. The light on the left side of the stationary/cruise switch will illuminate and the engine will continue
to operate at the current speed. To cancel the stationary mode, operate the parking brake, press the brake pedal, press
the clutch pedal or the move the stationary/cruise switch to the center position. The stationary mode will also cancel if
vehicle movement is detected.
With the stationary mode active, the engine speed can be increased or decreased by 100 RPM with the set/resume
switch. Press and release the left side of the switch to decrease the engine speed. Press and release the right side of
the switch to increase the engine speed.
If the stationary mode was canceled by the parking brake, brake pedal, clutch pedal or vehicle movement, press and
hold the right side of the switch for 1/2 second to resume the set cruise control speed.
Speed Control Faults:
A fault sensed by the controller are shown by the light on the right side of the stationary/cruise switch. The fault(s) will
disable the cruise control and stationary modes until the problem is corrected.
Pedal sensor fault (The A channel and B channel do not match, voltage level too high or too low or pedal is
disconnected.)- The light illuminates for 2-seconds, then flashes one time. The pattern will repeat three times.
Axle speed fault (Sensor is open or short. The input is not correct for 200 ms.)- The light illuminates for 2-seconds, then
flashes two times. The pattern will repeat three times.
CAN communication fault - The light illuminates for 2-seconds, then flashes three times. The pattern will repeat three
times.
