CENTER CONSOLE ________________________________________________________
6.8.1 PARKING BRAKE__________________________________________________________
Lift the parking brake lever to the vertical position to engage the parking brake. When you use the parking brake, press
the clutch pedal, put the transmission in 1st gear and stop the engine.
When the parking brake is engaged, the parking brake light on the instrument panel will illuminate. Do not drive the
vehicle with the parking brake engaged.
To disengage the parking brake, lower the parking brake lever to the disengaged position.
6.8.2 GEAR SELECTOR _________________________________________________________
The gear selector is to engage the transmission gears. The Gear selector knob has the
gear pattern marked in the top surface.
Completely press the clutch pedal and change the transmission to 1st gear. Slowly release
the clutch pedal while you press the accelerator pedal. When you drive forward, always
start in 1st gear and change to higher gears as the vehicle speed increases.
