FUEL MANAGER __________________________________________________________
Refer to
Section 8.3
for specific maintenance intervals.
Before replacing any filter, thoroughly clean the filter
housing and the area around the filter. Dirt must not be
allowed to enter into fuel system.
Bleed the fuel system if the water separater, fuel filter, or
hoses have been removed, or the fuel tank has become
empty.
Water Separater:
This mower is equipped with a fuel separater that traps
the water in the fuel. If the water is not removed from the
fuel system, extensive damage can occur in the fuel
injection system.
The fuel separater can be removed from the fuel
manager by holding black grip ring
(C)
and turning water
separater counter-clockwise.
Water will collect at the bottom of the see-through bowl
(A)
and appear a different color than the fuel. To drain
water from the water separater:
1.
Place a small container under drain valve

.
2.
Open drain valve
(B)
and allow the water to drain
into the container.
3.
Retighten drain valve and clean up any spilled fuel
or water.
4.
Bleed air from the fuel system.
Fuel Filter:
1.
Remove the water separater.
2.
Remove black retaining ring
(D)
.
3.
Pull the fuel filter straight down. Do not twist the fuel
filter when removing. Dispose of the old filter
element according to local regulations.
4.
Align key if filter element with the slot in the header
and push the new filter element up in the center of
the fuel manager.
5.
Install retaining ring
(D)
. Hand tighten retaining ring
until it clicks and the arrows line up under the air
vent

6.
Bleed air from the fuel system.

NOTICE
The fuel filter is not threaded and damage to the fuel
manager or filter may result by attempting to turn the
filter during removal or installation.
