ONVERSION

 

Tools required to convert this unit from propane gas to natural gas: 

  # 2 Phillips screwdriver 

  8 and 18 mm wrenches 

  Adjustable wrench 

The outdoor gas appliance and its individual shut off 

valve must be disconnected from the gas supply 
piping system during any pressure testing of that 
system at test pressures in excess of ½ psi (3.5 kPa). 

1.  Remove  the  lid  by  twisting  the  tee  handle  counter 

clockwise  until  the  lid  assembly  is  released  from  the 
body.  

2. Remove logs & embers from unit (if already installed). 
3.  Using  a  #  2  Philips  screwdriver,  remove  2  screws 

holding the burner in place. 

4. Slide back and lift burner out of the fire pit body (see 

Figure 11).  

5. Using the Philips screwdriver, loosen the screw on the 

air shutter located on the burner, turn the shutter so 
that  it  is  completely  closed.    Re-tighten  the  screw.  

Re-install burner in reverse order. 

6.  Using  a  18  mm  wrench,  remove  propane  hose 

assembly from fire pit body (see Figure 12). 

7.  Using  a  8  mm  wrench,  remove  the  brass  propane 

orifice from the tip that was installed into the fire pit 

body.  Set it aside, and install the supplied natural gas 
orifice.  DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.   

8. Remove brass assembly with orifice from the propane 

hose, and install into the open end of the rubber flex 
hose  on  the  natural  gas  hose  assembly  (see  Figure 
13). 

9. Re-install natural gas hose assembly with new NG orifice 

into the fire pit. Re-install logs & embers. 

 

REMEMBER TO LEAK CHECK ALL FITTINGS AND ORIFICE AFTER ALL OF THE 

CONVERSION IS COMPLETED, LEAK CHECK ALL FITTINGS AND TEST FIRE UNIT TO 
ENSURE PROPER, SAFE OPERATION.
