C Getting started
9 Working with files
Use the following techniques to operate the touch screen:

Tap: touch a box once with your finger or the stylus to select it.

Touch (and hold): use your finger or the stylus to tap a box and hold for it longer than the usual time set to select the box.

Drag: touch with your finger or the stylus and swipe it up, down, to the left or right to move items (in edit mode or in mouse
mode).
The ability to drag in a communication grid, can be set in Mind Express.
9 Working with files
The Smart uses Mind Express 4.
You can create new files, and open, edit and save existing ones.
On how to work with files, see the Mind Express operating instructions.
It is easier to create and edit files on a computer with Mind Express and to then send them to the Smart through a USB connec-
tion, than creating and editing the files directly on the Smart.
