Before the first use
Read the instructions of use carefully and
keep them for future reference.
• Remove all packaging.
• Wipe the grilling plates with a soft damp
cloth and then dry them.
CAuTion
: Do not immerse the
appliance, the power cord or the plug
in water or any other liquid.
• Unwind the power cord completely.
• Before the first use, lightly coat the
cooking plates with cooking oil. Operate
the appliance for 10 minutes. Unplug the
appliance and wipe the plates with a damp
cloth.
noTE
: When your appliance is heated
for the first time, it may emit slight smoke
or odor. This is normal with many heating
appliances and does not affect the safety
of your appliance.

• Connect the appliance to an earthed
230V~50Hz mains socket.
• The upper part of the power-temperature
indicator will illuminate indicating that the
appliance is heating up.
• Keep the baking unit closed during warming
up.
• Always heat up the appliance before grilling.
• Prepare your sandwich during warming up.
• As soon as the appliance heats up, the
lower part of the power-temperature
indication light turns on.
• You can now begin grilling. Open the plates
of the appliance using the handle and place
the sandwich on the bottom plate.
• Close the plates making sure that the
handle clip is engaged.
CAuTion
: If the sandwich has too
much filling, it will not be possible to
close the plates of the appliance. Take
some of the filling off. Never use force
to close the plates of the appliance.
• After completion of the grilling process
unlock the handle clip and open the plates
by the handle.
• Remove the sandwich by using a flat
wooden or heat resistant plastic spatula.
Never use sharp or metal objects (i.e.
knives, metal spatulas, etc.) as they will
damage the nonstick coating of the plates.
• If you wish to continue grilling, repeat the
toasting process as described above.
• Keep the baking plates closed in the
intervals between grilling.
• After completion of the grilling process
unplug the appliance immediately. Keep the
plates open in vertical position and allow the
appliance to cool down completely.
CAuTion
: The grilling surfaces as well
as the sides and top of the appliance
get very hot. To avoid the event of
burns, avoid any contact. Hold the
appliance only by the handle to open
or close the plates.

: The appliance must always
be positioned horizontally during use.
CAuTion
: Do not immerse the
appliance, the power cord or the plug
in water or any other liquid.
WARning
: Charcoal or similar
combustible fuels must not be used
with this appliance.
Removing the plates
• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to
cool before removing grilling plates.
• Open the plates in vertical position and
locate the plate release buttons.
