AR/RT861S Acoustic Actuator
Operation and performance of the acoustic actuator is described in details in the individual
user guide referred in section I.1.1. The AR/RT861S acoustic actuator is the standard
underwater receiver that decodes the acoustic commands transmitted from the surface. It
receives the commands from a remote control unit, see section II.3.
The releasing system uses a C-MOS technology that requires a very low power supply.
With the new alkaline battery cells, the autonomy is in the range of three years for a
number of releasing operations higher than 100.

standby condition after half an hour idle time. The range function goes up to
10,000 m in good environmental conditions.
