9. Maintenance
Warning:
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
- Electrical installation and maintenance must only be carried out by a skilled electrical
engineer.
- Wear a dust mask while changing and/or emptying the filter bag.
9.1. General maintenance
- Keep the Clean
ION
clean and dry.
- Empty the filter regularly. See Section 9.1.1.
- Replace the filter when it becomes soiled. See Section 9.1.2.
- Check the ionisation equipment for dirt accumulation and damage. See the web cleaning
system manual.
- Check the connections in the air line for any leaks and fix any leaks.
- Regularly check the connection cables for damage. Immediately replace damaged
connection cables. The connecting cable should at least be of grade
HO7RN F3G1.5 (110/230 V) or HO7RN F4G2.5 (400 V).
9.1.1. Emptying the filter
- Remove the cover of the Clean
ION
by releasing the locking clips.
- Remove the housing cover.
- Wear a dust mask while emptying the filter bag.
- Lift the filter out of the Clean
ION
housing.
- Empty the filter.
- Tap the filter out to remove remaining dust.
- Place the filter back in the Clean
ION
housing.
- Place the cover back on the Clean
ION
housing.
- Fasten the cover back onto the dust collector housing by closing the locking clips.
9.1.2. Replacing the filter
- Remove the cover of the Clean
ION
by releasing the locking clips.
- Remove the housing cover.
- Wear a dust mask while replacing the filter bag.
- Lift the filter out of the Clean
ION
housing.
- Place a new filter in the Clean
ION
housing.
- Place the cover back on the Clean
ION
housing.
- Fasten the cover back onto the dust collector housing by closing the locking clips.
9.2. Periodic maintenance
The following maintenance must be carried out every 800 operating hours or at least once per
year:
- Inspect the filter for damage, wear or dust penetration.
- Inspect the electrical components such as the motor, the switches, the connection cables etc.
- Check the cleaning system for leakages and blockages.
- Check the rubber sealing on the cover.
Repair or replace damaged components, where appropriate.
