1. Introduction
The Clean
ION
dust collector, type VAC, hereinafter referred to as Clean
ION
, ensures effective
dust filtration of the air drawn in and is used in conjunction with a Simco-Ion web cleaning
system. The Clean
ION
is intended for industrial use. Do not use the Clean
ION
for filtering
aggressive, toxic, explosive or moist material.
The Clean
ION
has an integrated high-voltage power supply to power the web cleaning system
ionizers.
The Clean
ION
is designed for continual use and features thermal overload protection.
The cover of the
CleanION
can be removed to allow for removal of the filter bag.
Wear a dust mask while removing, changing and/or emptying the filter bag.
The dust collector is equipped with a grip and wheels. With these, the dust collector can be
placed in the desired position.

2. Description and operation
The dust collector has a suction opening to which the cleaning system waste outlet pipe is
connected. The dirty air is passed through a filter bag inside the dust collector. Any dust and
small particles remain in the filter bag, and the clean air is blown back out of the underside of
the dust collector. The air flow drawn in is controlled by a throttle valve at the dust collector inlet.
A high-voltage power supply with two high-voltage pin jacks is located in the dust collector
switchbox. The cleaning system ionisation equipment is connected to this, and the high-voltage
supply is switched on and off synchronously with the dust collector.
The dust collector is switched on and off by means of two switches located on the dust collector
switchbox.
