9. Faults
Warning:
Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
9.1. Air knife fault
Problem
Cause
Solution
No air from air knife.
Blower does not run
See blower instructions.
Air knife has insufficient
blowing power.
Air slot is fouled.
Remove contamination
(see Maintenance).
Air filter on blower is
fouled.
Clean or replace the filter.
Blower operating in wrong
direction
Change direction of
rotation of blower.

9.2. EP-Sh-N anti-static bar fault
Problem
Cause
Solution
No or poor ionisation.
No high voltage.
Restore high voltage.
Anti-static bar is fouled.
Clean anti-static bar.
Emitter points are
damaged.
Return air knife for repair.
No high voltage on emitter
points
High voltage power unit is
defective.
Repair high voltage power
unit.
Short circuit in the HV
cable or anti-static bar.
Eliminate short circuit or
return the bar for repair.

No mains voltage.
Restore mains voltage.
External fuse is defective.
Replace the fuse.
Transformer is defective.
Replace the bar.
