Electrical safely
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
Class 2 Configuration
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured BLUE (or coloured BLACK) must be connected to the
NEUTRAL terminal which is marked with the letter “N”.

The wire which is coloured BROWN (or coloured RED) must be connected to the
LIVE terminal which is marked with the letter “L”
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is fixed into the plug through the Cord Guard or Cable
Clamp, (plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp
the cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that the
plug top is also fitted securely.
This appliance must be protected by a 3 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug. Should you
need to replace the fuse, use only a 3 Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (3A).
OPERATION GUIDELINES
It is important to ensure the correct Plug Adaptor is used when operating in a country not
using the UK 13 Amp socket system. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician

Switch off Unplug this product from the wall socket before cleaning.

these are kept clear at all times failure to do so may result in damage to the product
This product should be operated from a power that is compatible with the product indicated on
the ratting label.
If you are unsure if your mains power supply at your home is compatible with the product
consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched
or cause a trip hazard.
It is recommended for added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when the
product is left unattended / unused for long periods of time, that it is unplug it from the wall
socket.
If an outside antenna system is used it should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power
lines, electrical power circuits.
Please site the product on a flat level surface away from heat sources
This product is not intended for the use of children or the infirm without adequate supervision
and/or training.
Keep away from sources such as transformers or motors. as they may inteerfeer with the
performance of the product
Before use your player
Choose unit installation location carefully. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or close to a source
of heat. Also avoid locations subject to vibrations and excessive dust, cold or moisture.
Do not open the cabinet as this might result in damage to the circuitry or electrical shock, if a
foreign object should get into the set, contact your dealer.
Be sure not to handle discs with dirty fingers. Never insert a disc that has a crack on the surface.
When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull
the cord.
To keep the laser pickup clean use a laser cleaning disc these can be obtained from most good
electrical retailers do not touch it with your fingers, and do not forget to close the disc tray.
To shut off the power to this product completely, switch off and unplug from the wall socket.
Be sure to unplug the unit if you do not intend to use it for an extended period of time, such as
a vacation.
