To create a seal around the screw holes, ITC
recommends using silicone sealant in pre-drilled
holes before installing screws.

Using #8 x 1.25” screws, install the end caps in
the pre-marked holes. Make sure to install the
right two screws on both end caps into the stud
backer. Note: The left two holes on each end
cap should be used on aluminum backer
installations but may not be necessary for wood
stud installations. If there is no backer than a bolt
and washer or nut and plate (not provided)
should be used.
5.
Align the end cap into channel and slide it on
until it snaps into place. To operate the handle,
swing the handle to the right 90°. To replace to
the stowed position, gently pull up on the handle
and spin the handle to the left until secure. To
remove the end cap in the field, press the tab
with a flat head screwdriver and pull cap off at
same time.
