6.3
Fuse Replacement
The following paragraphs detail the procedure to replace the MEG125 internal fuse (Iris PN
287.0128 / Littlefuse Mega 125 [125 A]).
WARNING
MAKE SURE INVERTER IS ELECTRICALLY DISCONNECTED FROM 24
VDC POWER SOURCE (NATO PLUG) PRIOR TO SERVICING. FAILURE
TO DISCONNECT CABLE FROM 24 VDC POWER SOURCE (NATO PLUG)
FIRST MAY RESULT IN FIRE, SEVERE ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR DEATH.
WARNING
DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE QUIETPOWER INVERTER. ONLY
QUALIFIED ELECTRONICS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS ARE
PERMITTED TO REPLACE THE FUSE. ATTEMPTS TO SERVICE THE
INVERTER BY UNQUALIFIED PERSONNEL MAY RESULT IN A RISK OF
ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE. REFER TO SECTION 7, WARRANTY AND
SERVICE, FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON SERVICING THE INVERTER.
6.3.1 Fuse Removal
Remove the fuse as follows:
1.
Make sure inverter power switch on control panel is in off ('O') position.
2.
Disconnect inverter from 24 VDC source
. (NATO Plug), then disconnect wires
from DC terminals.
3.
Wait at least 15 minutes for capacitors to discharge completely
.
4. Reset the GFCI on the duplex outlet and the 15A circuit breaker.
5.
Temporarily, turn inverter switch to the on („|‟) position.
6. Using a voltmeter, verify that no AC voltage is present at the duplex outlet.
7. Turn inverter switc
h to the Off („O‟) position.
8.
Remove 14 screws and lift cover from inverter (refer to Figure 11).
