6.6 Discarding Used Filters
Used filter elements can normally be put into the regular household trash for disposal. If the system may have been
exposed to potentially hazardous substances, the filters may have to be disposed of as hazardous waste. Please refer
to local regulations and laws for proper disposal.
Chapter 7 – Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Housing

Unplug the IQAir® system before attempting to clean it.
•
Use a soft and clean cloth for cleaning.
•
For water soluble stains, use a window cleaning fluid.
•
For the removal of tough, non-water soluble stains, use a silicon spray.
•
Do
not
use any solvents or any organic cleaning fluids.
7.2 Maintenance-Free Fan
The IQAir® system is equipped with a maintenance-free fan motor.
7.3 Technical Support and Repairs
Should technical issues arise during or after the warranty period, please contact your point of purchase or call IQAir

To expedite your service request, please have the following information ready when contacting us:
1. IQAir model, shell number and serial number (found at the base of the unit and on the certificate)
2. Your details (name, address, phone number, e-mail)
3. Point of purchase (name of dealer, city)
4. Date of purchase
5. Description of issue
Refer to the Technical Support and Warranty Registration card included with your air cleaner literature for more
details.
7.4 IQAir Warranty
Your IQAir GCX system comes with a limited warranty of 1 year on parts and labor, excluding filters. Please complete
and return the enclosed warranty registration card soon after purchase. The information will allow us to provide you
with a swift service should service work become necessary.
