To place the 3800 Vital Signs Monitor back in service after functional verification has been
performed, connect the 3800 Vital Signs Monitor to a wall outlet, ensuring that cables do not
present a tripping hazard.
SpO2
•
Connect to Patient Simulator (select appropriate sensor
type).
•
Verify proper SpO2 value at 84% and 96% (±2 O2%).
•
Verify proper PR value at 30 and 240 bpm (±5 %).
NBP
•
Connect Patient Simulator and take an NBP
measurement.
•
Verify proper NBP value at 120/80 (±5 bpm).
YSI Temperature
None (self-checking).
Recorder
Verify strip chart recording of waveform data followed by a
parameter snapshot.
