INSTALLING THE COOKER HOOD TO A DUCT
1
The minimum distance between the supporting surface for the cooking pans on the cooker and the lowest part of the hood
must be:
- 65 cm for an electric, ceramic or induction cooker
- 75 cm for a gas hob
2
Determine the center of the cooker. Mark it on the ceiling exactly above the center of the cooker. Hold the suspension system
to the ceiling, taking care of the center mark. Mark the four holes on the corners needed to fit the suspension system.
3
Drill with a masonry drill of Ø8mm the four marked holes for the suspension system in the ceiling.
4
Insert the plugs
5
Drill a hole with a diameter of 160 mm in the ceiling to the outside. Make sure the hole is centered in relation to the four corner
holes for the suspension system.
6
Place a socket, if necessary, out of sight. The socket must be postioned within at least 2 cm of the holes for the suspension
system, but next to the exhaust opening.
7
Hold the suspension system against the ceiling making sure the holes are aligned.
8
Fasten the suspension system to the ceiling with four screws. (
Attention:
first check step 9b when using the cooker hood to
recirculate.)
9a
Fit a flexible exhaust air-pipe onto the cooker hood to the exhaust opening in the ceiling.
Plug in the appliance.
9b
When using the cooker hood to recirculation there is no need for a flexible exhaust air-pipe. Place the cover on the top of the
chimney. Do not forget to place carbon filters in the cooker hood.
Plug in the appliance.
10
Remove the four screws fiited on the outside of the suspension system and keep them for later use. Slide the chimney over
the suspension system and slide both parts against the ceiling. Make sure the inner chimney has the ventilation grids at the top.
11
On the bottom of the inner chimney are four holes. Place a screw in each one and fasten it till halfway. Now gently lower the
chimney parts until they rest on the screws.
12
Remove the four screws which are at the top on the outside of the cooker hood and keep them. Hold the cooker hood below
the suspension system and carefully slide the cooker hood upwards until it is at the right height. Make sure the top of the
cooker hood is aligned with the suspension system. Fasten the cooker hood with the four screws through the holes in the
suspension system. Tighten the screws. The cooker hood is now fastened to the suspension system.
13
Slide the outer chimney complety upwards against the ceiling. Completely tighten the four screws which supported the chimney.
14 Carefully lower the outer chimney until it rests on the cooker hood.
Remove all the protective film before using the cooker hood. The cooker hood is ready for use.
ELECTRIC CONNECTION
Make sure the supply voltage ratings correspond with those stated on the rating plate. Plug the appliance in. The cooker hood is
provided with a plug. Make sure the plug remains accessible. Place the socket, if necessary, out of sight behind the exhaust-air pipe.
Attention:
if you want to make a fixed connection, ensure that a multi-pole switch with a distance between contacts of 3 mm is
installed in the supply cable.
