The tie-down points on the wheelchair where the restraint
system straps should be placed are marked with this symbol.
For vehicles where the wheelchair can not be restrained,
there are no existing test methods. If there are
existing marked areas for wheelchairs in the vehicle, we
recommend to use these and follow the guidelines, if
any, for placing the wheelchair.
7.3.1
Posture belt
1.
In order to be used as a seat during transport in a vehicle, the
wheelchair must be equipped with a posture belt.
Invacares original posture belt must be used as a
complement to the 3–point safety belt in the vehicle!

The vehicle's 3–point safety belt should fit as tightly across the
user's body as possible without discomfort. The upper part of
the 3–point safety belt should fit over the user's shoulder as
illustrated.
No part of the 3–point safety belt must be twisted.

The pelvic part of the 3-point safety belt must be worn low
across the pelvis. The angle of the posture belt shall be within
the preferred zone
