 use this bed with incompatible mattresses or bed rails. Refer 

to page 17 of this manual or contact your Invacare  dealer for 

assistance with purchasing compatible models.

  After bed assembly or maintenance, test to ensure all sections are 

securely in place and all electrical components operate as intended

  Keep all moving parts, including the main bed frame, mattress deck 

(head and foot springs/sections) and all drive shafts free of obstruction 

(i.e. blankets/sheets, heating blankets/pads, tubing, wiring, etc. and other

bed, side rails or legs) during operation of the bed.

 use lock the locking 

caster(s). Inspect for correct locking action on caster locks before using

  The total weight limit of the  full-electric bed (including 

accessories, mattress, occupant and any other person/object positioned 

on the bed) is 450 pounds (204 kg.); 350 pounds (158 kg) patient weight.

·

  A safety feature of this bed model includes protection against 

overheating caused by excessive or extended periods of operation.

Depending on the duration, this will include multiple/repeated 

adjustments or the use of multiple functions at the same time. To ensure 

trouble-free operation, 

ALWAYS

 allow a slight pause between multiple 

adjustments and 

AVOID

 pressing multiple function buttons at a time.

If thermal protection is activated, the bed will not respond to pendant 

commands. To resolve this, release the pendant button and let the bed 

sit for several minutes. This will reset the protection function time to and 

restore bed function. Depending on the degree of the overheating, this 

may take up to 30 minutes.

ALWAYS

 remove manual crank(s) before performing electronic functions 

or using the bed. If not removed, the crank(s) will turn when the motor is 

on and this could cause personal injury or damage to the bed. 

ALWAYS

unplug the bed from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
