1. Remove

 

the

 

two

 

mounting

 

screws

 

and

 

washers

 

that

 

secure

 

the

 

back

 

upholstery

 

to

 

the

 

back

 

canes

 

(Detail

 

“A”).

2. Remove

 

the

 

two

 

mounting

 

screws,

 

locknuts,

 

and

 

(for

 

wheelchairs

 

manufactured

 

after

 

11/1/2005)

 

spacers

 

that

 

secure

 

one

 

back

 

cane

 

to

 

the

 

wheelchair

 

frame

 

(Detail

 

“C”).

3. Pull

 

the

 

loose

 

back

 

cane

 

out

 

of

 

the

 

back

 

upholstery.

4. Slide

 

a

 

new

 

back

 

cane

 

through

 

the

 

back

 

upholstery.

5. Secure

 

the

 

new

 

back

 

cane

 

to

 

the

 

wheelchair

 

frame

 

at

 

the

 

desired

 

back

 

height

 

with

 

the

 

two

 

mounting

 

screws,

 

locknuts,

 

and

 

(for

 

wheelchairs

 

manufactured

 

after

 

11/1/2005)

 

spacers

 

(Detail

 

“B”).

NOTE:

 

For

 

wheelchairs

 

manufactured

 

after

 

11/1/2005,

 

the

 

spacers

 

must

 

be

 

on

 

the

 

outside

 

of

 

the

 

wheelchair

 

in

 

order

screws

 

to

 

be

 

properly

 

tightened
