Avoid Injury.
Keep hands and fingers clear of Frame
edge when opening the Clamping
fixture.
Contact with hot Heat Wand or Stand
will cause skin burns; use caution.
Keep Heat Wand in Stand between
each splice.
Do NOT submerge equipment or
expose it to direct spray.
Prepare to Splice
1.
Ensure these requirements are met before
preparing to splice the belt ends.
• The Splicing System is set up according
to instructions. See
• The belt ends are correctly aligned
according to instructions. See
• The Clamping Fixture is fully open.
FABRICATION TIP
Shield the Heat Wand and Clamping Fixture
from air flow during pre-heating and splicing.
If there is cold or moving air
in the splicing area,
NOTE
Release Stand latches before trying
to remove the Heat Wand.

Once the temperature setpoint is reached,
hold the Heat Wand handle(s) and wipe plastic
residue from the Heat Wand. Use a clean, dry
cloth. An assistant may be needed.

Return the clean Heat Wand to the Stand and
fasten the latches.
