5 ALIGN AND SECURE BELT ENDS
5-2
Belt Splicing System v.2.0
Lightly Secure Belt Ends
1.
Center a belt end on the closest Grooved
Deck so the drive bars engage the grooves. If
belt drive bars face up, align the drive bars with
the grooves on the Grooved Deck.
Figure 5A: Align belt ends on Grooved Deck
2.
Ensure the belt end extends past the Grooved
Deck edge about 0.16" (4 mm). If the belt ends
are much more or less than 0.16" (4 mm), see
Figure 5B: Belt ends extending
3.
Hold the belt end in place and align the
Locating Pins and holes to lower a Cut Guide
onto the Grooved Deck and belt end.
4.
Ensure the Cut Guide stainless edge faces
outward and the recesses are under the Pivoting
Stud thumb knobs.

5.
Place each Pivoting Stud in a Cut Guide
recess and lightly tighten the thumb knobs.

FABRICATION TIP
Tighten thumb knobs evenly to keep belt top
surface even across the Grooved Deck.
Using optional Belt Tabs on Grooved Deck
ends prevents over-tightening. See page 5-1.
