Vehicle Submerged in Water
NOTICE:
If your vehicle becomes immersed in water,
major engine damage not covered under
warranty can result if the machine is not
thoroughly inspected. Take the vehicle to
your dealer before starting the engine.
If it is impossible to take your vehicle to a dealer before
starting the engine, follow the following steps:
1.
Tow the vehicle to dry land or at the very least, to
water below the footrests.
2.
Dry any water present in the air box. Filter
replacement required if water is present.
3.
Thoroughly dry the air filter.
4.
If possible, drain and replace engine oil.
5.
Remove the spark plugs (Kohler 750 EFI only).
Turn the engine over several times by using the
ignition key.
6.
Dry the spark plugs then reinstall, or if possible,
replace the spark plugs with new ones.
7.
Attempt to start the engine. If necessary, repeat
the drying procedure.
8.
Immediately take the vehicle to your dealer for
service.
THROTTLE SYSTEM
If the throttle pedal has excessive play due to either cable
stretch or maladjustment, it will cause a delay in throttle
response, especially at low engine speed. Also, the throttle
may not open fully. If the throttle pedal has no play, the
throttle may be hard to control, and the idle speed may be
erratic. Check the throttle play periodically and adjust if
necessary.
