ASCII interface configuration parameters:
ASCII interface Configuration
1.
Enter the timeout (in 0..2000 milliseconds) to wait for consecutive spontaneous frames.
2.
If set active, after a successful write message from ASCII is received, the gateway will
send an
>OK\r
frame.
3.
Select the type of ASCII port used: ASCII over EIA-232 (serial connection) or ASCII over
Ethernet (TCP/IP connection). (Both ASCII ports cannot be used simultaneously)
4.
Enter the baud rate to use. (The rest of parameters are fixed: 8-N-1).
5.
Enter the ASCII port number to use for ASCII over Ethernet (TCP/IP).
6.
Enter the “Time without activity” (in 0..65535 seconds) to send the “Keep Alive” packet,
if set to “0” this function is disabled (no packet will be send).
7.
Select the gateway model used: Basic or Extended. You can check the gateway model in
the identification given by the gateway when it connects to LinkBoxBacnet, it appears in
the IntesisBox Communication Console window after clicking on the
Online
checkbox, it
is something like this:
