Scanner Parameters

Aim Duration
When a scanner with an aim mode is triggered either by a
trigger pull, or a START_DECODE command, this parame-
ter sets the duration the aiming pattern is seen before a
scan attempt begins. It does not apply to the aim signal or
the AIM_ON command. It is programmable in 0.1 second
increments from 0.0 to 9.9 seconds. No aim pattern is vis-
ible when the value is 0.0.
To set an aim duration, scan the bar code below. Next scan
two numeric bar codes beginning on page 4-87 that corre-
spond to the desired aim duration. Times less than one sec-
ond must have a leading zero.
EXAMPLE:
To set an aim duration of 0.5 seconds, scan the bar code below, then
scan the 0 and 5 bar codes. If you make an error, or wish to change
your selection, scan CANCEL on page 2-88.
